of the arts in rural areas
STRUCTURE
Association for the Development of the Arts in the Rural Milieu
The Association for the Development of the Arts in Rural Areas (hereinafter ADAR) has been developing musical projects in rural areas since its foundation, using new technologies to revitalize rural areas and bring the living arts to new audiences.
The festival takes place during the month of August in different councils and municipalities of Asturias.
The project benefits the heritage of rural areas thanks to the intervention of art as a means of exposure, bringing new ideas to disused spaces. This project favors the valuation of the tangible and intangible heritage of the space since it uses the heritage of the people for artistic creation. In this way, disused spaces and traditional constructions are used.
Artist Residency
ADAR's headquarters are located in the municipality of Leiguarda (Belmonte de Miranda, Asturias) where it has a space managed solely by the association that enjoys rehearsal rooms and accommodation for the creation of artistic projects that are subsequently presented in the project "En route". Since the foundation of the Association, it promotes the work of multidisciplinary artists who use the villages as canvases for visual artistic creation.
Deadline open until April 15 to submit new proposals.

Guillermo tells us about his project, aimed at revitalizing rural areas through cultural projects with international impact. They promote the use of unconventional spaces in disuse and encourage rural/cultural tourism, attracting artists from international cultural currents."
